Finland Lappeeranta
Posted: Sun May 10, 2009 11:02 AM UTC
Hi!I am from Spain(Sevilla) and going to Lappeenranta next year to study! The best way I have found is to fly from Malaga to Helsinki with Finnair and then take a train to lappeeranta(23rd August),my questions are:
-Do you know the weighth limits that finnair has in factured luggage and hand luggage?
-My flight lands at 18.45 and the train leaves at 20.12 from the train station,do you think there is enough time to get to the train station?
-Do you know any better(cheaper) way to get there?
Thanks a lot!

If you go to the Finnair website you can find all the information you ask for.

20 kilos, 8 kilos

bus takes 35 minutes, every 20 mins.

So you decide. If there's no delay you can just make it but.....it's tight.

You might find a budget carrier which gives you alternative travel options.

Look at www.whichbudget.com or www.harefares.com

But if you are going next year (2010) then flight and train times may well change (as may carriers, weight limits and so on).

You can also take the train from Tikkurila train station (Vantaa), located much closer to the airport than the Central railway station in Helsinki.

The bus 61 takes you from the airport to Tikkurila station in 22 minutes (check the route here: http://aikataulut.ytv.fi/reittiopas/en/line/?line=61&type=4) so you'd save money and time. The ticket costs currently 2,5 euros.

Good luck!
