Cannes Good Ribs in Cannes?

Now that Farfalla has closed (Mocca is the new place in the old Farfalla location), is there any restaurant in or close to Cannes which has good ribs?

Not sure if ribs will be offered at this restaurant as to the board menu changes but there are great steaks and an eclectic gourmet choices. We were there during the Film Festival so the offerings may have had a western tilt during our stay. Restaurant La Grosse Tartine is in the city center near la Croisette. Thanks. The ribs at Le Jardin are strange, at least to an American's taste. They give you a clump of meat with an occasional bone sticking out strangely, but it doesn't resemble "real" ribs. I like the atmosphere there once the weather warms up, and we still go every so often, but not for ribs.

American taste? You wont find it in France. I am both. They can only come close in France for ribs, The Buffalo GRill chain is another one who offers ribs and in Paris there is some but again not the same of course. La Jardin is good overall, but tastes...we have our own.

Actually, the ribs at Farfalla were excellent, both in meat quality and preparation. They were very much to an Amercan taste, but I'm sure that was concidental.

In the meantime, we will check out Buffalo Grill in Nice.

Strange idea to want ribs when in Cote d’Azur; try local food! Salade Niçoise, Bouillabaisse, grilled rouget fish, lamb chops with thyme and rosemary herbs. . .Ribs are best in US, fried rice is best in Indonesia, spring rolls are best in Vietnam, haggish in Scotland, lutefisk in Norway, thieboudienne in Senegal, and even leg of lamb with mintsauce in England. . . etc, etc, :))

Good question. After a month or two, a person wants some relief from the local diet. Ribs are a good change, being quite different from the normal Mediterranean cuisine. Eventually, we also start looking for sushi (found it), Chinese (found it), or other non-local food.
