Hi there,

I'm sure that Las Vegas will be safe on New Years eve. But if you're walking around on the strip just remember to keep safe at all times. Yes it will be busy with crowds of people walking around. But just remember to keep a safeguard on your money etc. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Las Vegas was built to be prepared for the massive hordes of tourists (Rio has been having the Carnival since time immemorial and hotels were just added later) But in Vegas, you won't run out of places to stay at...and remember, "What happens in Vegas, stays at Vegas!" Hehehe...As for dangerous, depends on what you do (if you go out to look for hookers and get drunk on the streets, maybe yes it might be dangerous) - but the police are always around in Vegas...Norman :)

In the 20 years I have lived in Vegas I have been to the Strip 1 time on New Years. It is very busy but not dangerous.I can remember 1 death in 20 years and that was a drunk that climbed on a street light and fell off.Theres every cop in the city working that night and anyone doing anything is arrested. Its wall to wall people and usually fireworks are shot off from casino to casino. Its something everyone should do once in their life spend New Years in Las Vegas
