Hi all, we are going to aus next thursday and this is how we have planned our itinerary.

14/5/09(Thursday) - Perth
Places to visit, in the order of time:
1)kings park, join a free guided tour in the morning
2)Caversham wildlife park in the afterrnoon
3)Swan Bells at night
Overnight in Perth

15/5/09(Friday) - Fremantle
Places to visit, in the order of time:
1)Fremantle Market in the morning
2)Fremantle Prison Torchlight Tours at night
Overnight in Perth

16/5/09(Saturday) - Geraldton
Early Morning -> Travel to Geraldton from Perth
Places to visit, in the order of time:
1) Geraldton Visitor Centre
2) St. Francis Xavier Cathedral
3) HMAS Sydney II Memorial

Overnight in Geraldton
17/5/09(Sunday) - Denham
Early Morning -> Travel to Denham from Geraldton
Stop by shell beach and eagle bluff
Overnight in Denham

18/5/09(Monday) - Kalbarri
Spend the morning at monkey mia, see dolphins
Travel to Kalbarri from monkey mia
Overnight in Kalbarri

19/5/09(Tuesday) - Kalbarri
Places to visit, in the order of time:
1) Kalbarri Visitor Centre
2) Go sandboarding
3) kalbarri national park
Overnight in Kalbarri

20/5/09(Wednesday) - Cervantes
Early Morning -> Travel to Cervantes from Kalbarri
Places to visit, in the order of time:
1) Cervantes Jetties
2) Emu Downs wind farm
3) pinnacles during sunset
Overnight in Cervantes

21/5/09(Thursday) - Perth
Early Morning -> Travel to Perth from Cervantes
Places to visit, in the order of time:
1) Aquarium at hillarys harbour & Sorrento Quay
2) Shopping around Perth area
Travel to airport at midnight

Is my itinerary good enough?

Presume you have a hire vehicle. I would not have a vehicle the first day in Perth, parking will be a problem. I suggest you use the trtain to travel to Fremantle. The free CAT bus will take you from the city to Kings Park.

When travelling to Fremantle consider taking a ferry cruise Perth Barrack Street Jetty to Fremantle and return by train.

If you are returning vehicle to the airport I suggest you consider Thursday late night shopping at Karrinup Shopping Centre, open to 9pm on Thursday night, then take the Reid Highway to the airport, follow the signs to the airport, please NOTE there are 2 airports DOMESTIC and the INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT which is a further 10km .

On Thursday the city shops close at 5:30 pm, Karrinyup is 10 minutes on the Mitchell Freeway heading north from the city.

you mean it is very difficulty to find parking in Perth and Fremantle? speaking of parking, is it free to park on the streets? during weekends and weekdays?

Consider the fact that fremantle is more happening at night, we have decided to stay in fremantle on the first 2 days, so i think we will be driving.

Hi,

Check with your accommodation in Fremantle whether they provide free parking. Fremantle has little free parking, there are meters on most streets. Parking in most private parking stations is expensive in Perth & Fremantle.
