Could anyone please tell me what options are available to me and my family for getting from Nantes Rail Station to St Jean De Monts.

Is there a bus, if so what is the number and is there a website I can find a timetable.

If I get a train from Nantes, what is the best station to go to and are taxis readily available at the stations?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

So, train from Nantes to Challans, then bus (autocar) to Saint Jean de Monts.
If you put Nantes and St. Jean de Monts Gare Routière into here http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en, you can get both train and bus timetables. The bus doesn't seem to be very frequent, though, there is a big gap between 11.32 and 17.44.
Regional bus services generally aren't numbered, you look for the destination.

train service in the area, just enter nantes gare to st jean de monts gare, and you get connections.

i think is bus 270 but never taken buses/train there, i use the car. the instructions are very easy thus
