From KL to Phuket, then to Bangkok Posted: Tue May 5, 2009 02:04 PM UTC
Hi fellow bloggers,
Need help here, to explain further here's my itinerary:
1. Flight from KL to Phuket [8:25PM-8:35PM]
Question: Aside from taxi, what is the most convenient and cheaper way to go to the Patong Beach?
2. Flight from Phuket to Bangkok [8:55AM-10:15AM]
Most probably, I need to be in the Phuket airport by 5-6AM.
Question: Aside from taxi, what is the most convenient and cheaper way to go to the Phuket Airport?
Thank you so much, and hoping for your response guys!
God bless..

There is no more covenient way than taxi to get to and from Patong Beach. The cost of taxi should be about 600 THB (see my pages for a tip on a very reliable and good driver). There is a shuttle bus, but I do not know how frequent it is or where it stops.
Regards
John

nobody is taking bus from//to Phuket airport especially at night or dawn. There are travellers who might share a taxi with you, its common..just wait at the taxi , and naturally, not all passengers are in group,.you can always share and theyre always willing to share.....Dont worry, you will be fine....Its better than the taxis at Manilas terminal 3, I swear.

Re: From KL to Phuket, then to Bangkok Posted: Thu May 7, 2009 05:40 PM UTC
Hi,
If not mistaken, there's no buses but they may have "song thaew" but it can take you from one place to another (short distance). But better take a cab normally the price will start from 400 or 500 THB. Not too sure if you can share the cab, some people they might do the sharing but some might not like it. So this part depends.
Hope this will help.
Cheers

Late reply..
I took the taxi worth THB500 (orig price: THB550, because they thought I'm a Thai, THANKS!), they usually wait just outside the Phuket Airport's arrival area.
