Sorry for the stupid question, but ca you sunbath and swim in Dec in VEGAS, what is the weather like at the end of the year?

I have been to Vegas in early December and didn't find the weather warm enough to lay about the pool area and swim, but I like to swim in warm water. During that time we hardly saw anyone else using the pool area. The weather was still pleasant but not hot.
I was just there in the third week of April this year and found that the weather was warm enough to lounge around the pool comfortably but because the pools were not heated, it was still quite cold going in the pool. The pool areas were busy, but hardly anyone went into the pools except for the young children (although the hot tubs were packed).
It may make a difference if you can find a hotel with a heated pool. My Dec. trip was spent at the Hilton off the strip and in April used the pool areas at the Bellagio, the Hilton Flamingo, and the Hilton on the strip.

This winter Las Vegas even saw snow!
