You can do a tour of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Go to at least one of the Cirque Du Soleil shows. You might want to go see The Jersey Boys.
See if you can do a tour of Nellis AFB.
I think you can buy show tickets online through Expedia. I know you can if you book your hotel through them.
There's a lot to do other than gamble.
And, don't forget the acts at Circus,Circus.

If you drive into the city, you will find Information sites where you can stop to get ideas where you and your teens might like to go. Some of the shows may have an age limit, so check into that before buying tickets for your teens.
Circus Circus offers an Arcade for kids of various ages which might be interesting to your teens.
Near LV is a huge water-slide park if the weather isn't too cold at the time. Besides Hoover Dam and Lake Meade, north of Vegas you'll find the Valley of Fire, which is in the Moapa Band of Paiute Indian Reservation and where you can find, besides the fascinating landscape, ancient petroglyphs in their original location. Just beyond the Valley of Fire, there is the Lost City of Overton which has a rustic museum of the the Native Americans who lived in this area.
Also, Las Vegas is home to quite a few interesting museums as well as awesome sights/displays at many of the grand hotels.

I'm not a basketball fan, so don't know if there are any games you and your kids can go to. I'd suggest you take a look at the Las Vegas City website and check their Calendar of Events.
I do know that it is still foodball season and they will be gearing-up for the Superbowl about that time.
