I will take the train from the Vilnius airport to the terminal in downtown Vilnius. From the railway station, what trolley bus number will take me to the closest stop to the Holiday Inn, Seimyniskiui 1?

No 5. It stops in front of Railway station.
Get off at 6th stop "Zaliasis tiltas" - immediately when tolleybus crosses the river (ride takes about 15 minutes). Then walk forward (slightly to the hill) about 200 m. Your hotel is right on the corner of the streets (2nd crossing).

Actually you can take bus No 2 directly from the airport to the same stop - no need to change.

Other (fast) option is "Minibus" No 15 - it is special kind of buses. City transportation tickets are not valid - you pay cash to the driver. Last time price was 3 LTL. The minibus goes along preset fixed route but takes and drops off passengers anywhere they like on the route. So just ask driver that you need "Holiday Inn" and he will stop almost in front of the door. Downside - the minibus is small so you will not get in with big luggage.
