Hi all,
We are heading to Larnaca next June, in our way to Cairo, and am trying to get information on a cheap place to stay,the closer to the airport the better.Waking distance will be great.
What are the prices like? expected total budget per day for staying there?

Any insite would be appreciated.

Look for hotels in Larnaca on any major hotel booking website. Most of the hotels on the larnaca beach are only 15 minutes from the airport.

I donīt think there is a place to stay in walking distance to the airport. The cheapest i found in Cyprus (nov. 2009) was Luxor Guesthouse in Limmassol, a bit messy, but quite fun.

There is allmost no public transport saturdays and sundays in Cyprus!

Hi,
One of the nearest hotel to the airport is the Flamingo hotel, which is across the road from the beach. My son stayed at this hotel when there was a problem with is flight.

The Flamingo hotel is one and the substantially cheaper San Remo is another though about a mile further away San Remo's room rates for June are 36 Eu for a single and 45 Eu for a double room.

The distance can be walked by a backpacker in about 45 - 50 minutes from the current airport terminal (but not the one that will become operational and replace it in November 2009).
