Alonnisos Island Travel Forum

Hi, I've been trying forever to find out what the timetable is for the ferry but the website doesn't show it. I doesn't seem to matter what route you put in the system, they all don't work. I was wondering about September one way to Thessaloniki.

Try looking for a ferry from Alonissos to Skiathos, then onward to either Volos or Thessaloniki. That might produce some better results. But I doubt you'll find anything posted for next September, it's way too soon. I think you might have to wait a few months for that.

There won't be any from Alonissos, last year there was a 2x per week connection in the summer June-Sept, from Skopelos and Skiathos to Thessaloniki with G&A ferries.
I guess this will continue this summer but they don't issue timetables until shortly before the service starts. If there is one at all this year.

However there are always at least 2 ferries per day from Alonissos/Skopelos/Skiathos to Volos on the mainland thence by bus to Thessaloniki.

Check also HELLENIC SEAWAYS (ex HELLAS FLYING DOLPHINS). There is certain info that the vessel FLYING CAT 4 (speed catamaran) will start again in June 2009 (Thessaloniki-Skiathos-Skopelos-Alonnisos). Travel time approx. 2h45min. We are waiting for the official announcement.

You have also the alternative of flying from Skiathos to Thessaloniki.

It must be another FlyingCat. The FC4 is already in service between Crete, Santorini, Ios, Paros and Mykonos.

Sorry, it is in Greek language. It is of Hellenic Seaways, the vessels Flying Cat 5 and Flying Cat 6, starting on June 19, 2009 and ending August 31, 2009. Extention in September is possible, but it is usually announced in August.
