I read about KAMPI which is a Philippine organization for disable people and Venus Ilagan wrote an article about it:

Filipinos are very helpful and I am sure you will get the info you need. Better yet, labor is very cheap in Manila and if needed, you can hire someone trustworthy to attend to your needs while over there and it does not cost much at all. For example, for our twins, we hired two nannies for three weeks and they only charge about US$200 each. It also gives a job to those who need it. Good Luck, more power, and thanks for visiting the Philippines, Norman :)

Well you could'nt get on a jeep or the buses don't have wheel chair ramps Taxi's would help you but I have to agree with the last post just hire a care giver its cheap and they will do anything you need for you.

Re: "Access for wheelchair user in Manila "

I just want to share that in most major malls, there are already wheelchairs (though the traditional type; not the motorized type)that can be rented per hour so physically-challenged shoppers need not always bring their own wheelchairs. But if you decide to bring your own wheelchair, there are access ramps. I've seen the more affluent shoppers inside the malls moving around without caregivers/nannies in their power wheelchair.

There are parking slots for the disabled, and though some stubborn shoppers might try to use them, the security guard will reprimand them and demand that their car be transfered. There are also separate cubicles for the disabled in restrooms.
