Mexico City Hotel Aeropuerto?
Posted: Wed April 29, 2009 04:05 PM UTC
Hola,

I will have an over-night layover in Mexico shortly, and have received conflicting information from Mexicana. Do I HAVE TO pickup my luggage after arriving, or will it be checked to my final destination? If I do pick it up, where exactly can I store it at the airport? I was told that the Hotel Aeropuerto is a "short" walk away, but, I found TWO hotels with a similiar name. Can anyone give me some current info about the Hotel Aeropuerto at Blvd. Aeropuerto 380? Any tips would be appreciated! Mil gracias for the help!

I would ask Mexicana about your luggage..

Hotel Aeropuerto costs about $500 pesos. to get there you can take a cab if its late at night or you are paranoid OR you just walk to the A wing of Terminal 1 - the foreign arrivals are all the way at the opposite end so you just trek down. then proceed outside towards the metro station. You will see a pedestrian overpass right about where the downstairs to the metro comes out -- daytime hours many people use it so I feel secure. Walk across, then go straight about 1 block and you will see Hotel Aeropuerto on your right. for a layover its the most convenient if you need 1/3 of the price of Hilton or Camino Real - those 2 are right in the airport so are the best but will cost you like $150 US and up.
