Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Toronto Am I going to be bored?!
Posted: Tue April 28, 2009 12:45 PM UTC
So my friend has moved to Toronto from England for a year and I've decided to book myself out there for a month!
June 15th - July 18th!
The only thing is, I think she'll still be working ( she has like 2 or 3 jobs!)so we'll only be able to do touristy things on her days off, if she hasn't already done them!
We're planning on going to Edge Fest and Warped Tour, but other than that, I have no idea what I'll be doing out there? haha
Can someone give me tips on what to do with my time, even if it is alone?!

Also, it's my 21st birthday on 8th july, any ideas on what to do/where to go?

Thanks, Bex

Niagara Falls is very near Toronto and you will have lots of fun there dear, trust me, especially in the summer. So don't fret, make sure you allow a few days there because there are other attractions at Niagara. Nightlife should be good there too, trust me! Enjoy!

Otherwise, climb the CN tower, you'll see a lot of the city, then venture to the suburbs. Also, unless you're sport mad, that's most of what people in Toronto do I think,LOL!

Cheers!

This is a good list of some fun places to hang out at night...

Toronto is a wonderful city with lots of little things happening all the time. Just walk around (assuming you're located in the downtown area)

Do some road trips from Toronto. Go to Ottowa, Montreal, and Quebec City.

Just so you won't underestimate, the suggested road trips to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City are long drives. Round trip to Ottawa is 500 miles, Montreal round trip is 670 miles and Quebec City round trip is 980 miles. Happy driving!

Hello,

This is a response to "satossa" and the happy driving comment. You are making the assumption that a 20 year old British girl can drive here and would be renting a car. I recommend making the "road trip" to Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec city as a multi-city VIA train tour with stopovers. I just did a quick search and a circuit of Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal-Quebec-Toronto with stopovers could cost only $250 if booked in advance with special fares.
