London Recommend a safe, quiet, non-party hostel/B&B in London?
Posted: Mon April 27, 2009 03:17 PM UTC
Hi,
I'm looking for somewhere to stay in central London. Doesn't have to be anywhere fancy, I just want somewhere clean that I can get some sleep and won't be disturbed by people partying until 3 in the morning, and that will be safe for a lone female to get back to. Ideally I would like a private room rather than a dorm, but cost is a consideration. I've read loads of reviews, but is there anywhere anyone would recommend?
Thanks!

we used both the Shakespeare Hotel in Paddington and Hotel 65 in Hammersmith -both fairly quiet and decent although basic and not too high priced either - there were two sharing a room though - we booked both through alpharooms.co.uk but both hotels have their own websites
and neither was far from tube or mainline station ( paddington that is - don't thinks theres a mailine near hotel 65

hope you find something
julie

I like to stay in the Bayswater area ( great location)and have stayed a few times in the Queens Park Hotel when I was in London on my own. The rooms are small, especially the singles, but it was clean and I felt safe.

This February my husband and I stayed in the Westland Hotel, between Bayswater and Notting Hill. We had a really large room and I can't tell you about the singles there, but generally this hotel was great. We had booked early and got a good deal.
