Sharm El Sheikh Travel Forum

Hi There,

We are a group of 3 thinking of travelling to Sharm El Sheikh. We are currently in Cairo and some of the locals told us it is extremely expensive. However we heard that there are world class dive sites in Sham and we really want to go there to do a couple of dives.

Can someone advise if there are any accomodation (as long as it is safe and convenient) in sharm that is near the sea and dive operators. Also how much would it cost us to do a dive?

going on your own it will be not very expensive, much more then [just] very expensive if you consider that in these days you get flight+hotel from Europe for 3/400 euro.
I suggest to contact a diving, tell them you are at Cairo and you want to go diving with them but you need the accomodation. A friend of mine used to go to Sharm thru a diving, for almost a dozen of times he just bought the flight here, charter flight, and his friend found the accomodation and he always found very good bergain. This his friend, the owner of diving, has gone to Indonesia few years ago so I have not this address to give to you.
