Bahrain 7 days visa to Bahrain
Posted: Sun April 26, 2009 10:45 AM UTC
I am presently working here in Qatar and planning to take a 4 days vacation in Bahrain before i headed to my home country which is Philippines. I thought i can just buy a 7 days visa upon arrival in Bahrain Airport, but when im purchasing my ticket here in Qatar, the travel agent advise to secure first a visa before buying a ticket, he advised me to call Bahrain Embassy here in Qatar which i did and Bahrain embassy told me that they are requiring a recommendation letter from my sponsor to process a 7days visa for me. I dont want my sponsor to know that ill be passing by first at Bahrain. Can i just buy a 7 days visa at Bahrain, knowing that i have a 1 year valid working visa here in Qatar. By the way, im working as an Executive secretary in an interior landscaping firm but in my iqama, my designation is a servant because before when the company hired me they dont have yet professional designated available iqama's. Do you think i really have to ask for my sponsor's recommendation letter of i can just buy a 7 days visa in Bahrain airport. Please advise.

Thank you so much if there's anyone who can help me..im really running out of time.

does Bahrain in the first place allowed visa on arrival. You did called bahrain Embassy in Qatar and they exactly told u the documents needeed, so I think theryre more qualified to answer that than from people here.In any case, even u can get a airticket say like on online booking, you will be denied boarding when you check in at Qatar airport itself.

I believe bahrain like UAE issued an electronic visa sponsored by airline or hotels like with Emirates. I suggest you contact a travel agency in Bahrain or even a hotel.Technically, there is no visa on arrival facility, visa are electronic, ur name was already in immigration database when you arrive there.NO visa sticker , only an entry stamp.I suggest you book a ticket with Gulf Air via Bahrain, and talk to them if they can sponsor your visa. Go to Gulf Air office, not with travel agency.

I guess , its better to get the 72 hour stopover visa which can be sponsored by airlines, thats your best bet.

For more certainty and without getting a sponsorship letter you can apply for a bahrain visa at www.evisa.gov.bh. Not guaranteeing you will get it though.

Being Holding residence visa of any GCC country, you can enter in another GCC country(Except Saudi Arabia) on visa upon arrival. However, certain categories and profession's are not allowed to avail this facility. labourers, House maids and other domestic workers etc. are not enlisted to avail this facility. You therefore need a visa from Bahrain Embassy in Qatar to travel to Bahrain.

In this situation, you will need an sponsor letter which may or may not be helpful to secure a visa for you to travel to Bahrain.

Transit visa could help if you travel with GulfAir and ask them to allow you to transit in bahrain.
