There is one little nostagic hotel near Expo but not sure of the conditions. It has been there in at least since 1970 when I passed by on my way to visit my grandfather at Old Changi Beach. Two years ago, I was in the area and still saw the sign but the rustic surrounding has been replaced by middle-class landed private housings.

It looks near on the map to Expo but the I doubt the accessibility.
Unless there is a walking path across the green patch behind the "ITE College". (you can check with the hotel for details)
Even then, there are many more places in Singapore with MUCH MUCH better accessibility to MRT, food, and happenings. Example: Ibis
