i know that some of the branded sporting goods like NIKE are made from vietnam. please advise where can i buy these products at a discounted/factory price. thanks in advance.

Just about all things on the open market are knockoffs or defective seconds, but never much of a selection. I pay more for shoes at local stores like Parkson's and Diamond Plaza than I would pay in the States. There are no factory outlet stores that I've ever seen here.

mike i know what your saying i was recently on a trip to the USA and those factory outlet stores are fantastic i got a top of the line pair of nikes fo a very cheep price but not only that they were cheeply priced but the girl who sold them to me went out the back store room and came back with a coupon and gave it to me which saved me another 40% so i got a $120 dollar pair of nikes for about $30 you cant get much better than that i dont recon and jeans dont get me started on them

I was in HCMC February 2006, stayed at the Duxton Hotel which is pretty central and we actually found a shop just around the corner from it selling branded sporting goods, but sorry, I cannot remember the location or name of it. We also found several shops selling what really looked like branded goods, but they couldnt have been cos they were soooooo cheap. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that the shops you are looking for ARE there, perhaps if you ask your Hotel staff they may be able to tell you. Sorry I couldnt be more helpful

You should come to Huyen Tran Cong Chua street. It is not far from Ben Thanh market. This street sell many kind of sport wear.
