TAXI IN DUBAI

HI peeps, how much would a taxi cost (approx) from the atlantis hotel to the jebel ali golf resort??? im taking a sea plane from their and the company have offered me return transfers at the rate of 150 AED per person. is this too much? another friend told me it should cost 100 AED ??? would appreciate some feedback. thanks

Yes those rates are far too much. A normal Dubai taxi will be very much less.

To be honest dubai is place where ull never find an actual rate unless you personally take the initiative to check it, as your friend said it will not cost u more than 100 AED, i am based in dubai itself if any help need feel free to drop me a line @ rafreak_4415@hotmail.com

Just to expand on what Rafeeq said (welcome to VT Rafeeq!) the taxis are metered so the fare depends on the exact km travelled. Fares are AED3 flagfall and AED1.60 per km. I don't know exactly but I guess from Atlantis to JA Golf resort is around 20km.

A couple of web sites give the distance at 25Kms. So that's under 50 dirhams, one way.

In additiON, EACH TAXI CAN TAKE FOUR PASSENGERS, so the fare is divided :-)

Wont cost you more than 100AED as per my experience.

By the way guys and gals, they are charging now the 'waiting time' of the taxi! Can you believe it????
