Oyster cards - Heatrow Airport

Hey i was wondering if you are able to get an oyster card at heatrow airport ?
also when using them do you register them on the machine at the start and end of your journey or just the start ? - if just the start how does it know how far im going ???

You can buy an Oyster card at any manned London Underground ticket office so I'm sure you can get one at Heathrow.
You must tag them on entry and exit for the Underground, DLR (Docklands Light Railway) and some London Overground lines.
You only tag on entry on buses.
