Sharm El Sheikh travelling to sharm

I am going to Sharm in May, meeting my mother there.

I am looking for some advice in term of the hotel. I am debating on being in Naama Bay or Sharks Bay. I found a nice hotel, reasonable as price, in Sharks Bay (Concorde El Salam). I was wondering if it is worth to stay out and comute every night to the center...Did anyone stay in Concorde el Salam?

Another choice is Hilton Dream Resort in Naama Bay.

Any advice about hotels?

Also is all inclusive necessary? Would a breakfast and a night out in town work better? In terms of prices for drink next to the pool, etc...

Thanks a lot!

If you were at Naama Bay or [old]Sharm there is no need for all-inclusive.
There are plenty of restaurants and it's also safe to walk around.
Note that many hotel are in the middle of nowhere and/or far from any resturant, taxis in these case could be very expensive.
Many hotels give free shuttle to Naama Bay but with timetables.
also to the beach during the day some hotels have shuttle as they are quite far from water.

I'd reccomend not going all inclusive. I stayed at a couple of different hotels in Sharm where guests were complaining about the standard of food and even getting ill because of it. Not saying that this will happen at your hotel, but if you are only B&B you can try a variety of restaurants, rather than be tied to the hotel buffet, which are fairly sub-standard in my experience.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza, on half board, but one look at the Bedlam which passed for the buffet dinner and we decided to cut our losses and head into Naama for a restaurant meal every night. Restaurants are fairly reasonable and you can eat a decent meal for 50-60LE easily.
