Im thinking of going to Bratislava from the 2nd - 9th sept. Was wondering what the prices for food, beer etc are like over there?

I'm sure someone else will give you more detailed answers, but we found Bratislava to be incredibly cheap when we visited a couple of years back. Everything was a fraction of the price we were paying in England and Vienna at the same time. I hope it's still the same.

Well, it is not the same now, but still cheaper than UK or Wiena :-)
A glass of bear is about 1.6 EUR, an average meal in the restaurant is about 12 EUR, a ball of ice cream 0.5 EUR

That holds up well with the 1.5 for a beer I was remembering, though the meal's a bit more expensive. I know we changed just 20 euro each for a day in the city and hadn't spent it all after a couple of drinks, lunch, visiting the Primate's Palace and the castle, catching a tram, leaving donations in churches we visited and buying some dried fruit and nuts to snack on as we took the train back to Vienna - oh, and I forgot the delicous apple icecream

Public transport is very cheap, but be sure to buy tickets and get them validated when you ride - there are very steep fines if you're caught without one.

The price for beer in downtown can range from 1-4 Euros. It depends on where you go. There are few places with beer reasonably prices - up to 1.70. For example:
Slang Pub
17's bar
Slovak Pub
Eden Pub
Kristian Beer Pub

Pizza costs around 5 Euros. Spirits around 1.50 - 5 Euros.

The coctails 6 euro, beer 6 all other 4,water 1,70-2,5, food (plates from 8-15 euro) In general not cheap but not expensive. Outside Bratislava to the country is a real bargain 1/2 prices to all even more in some food like Pizza. There are places that charge a lot and other less.check out the price cataloge before you sit
