Malta How do you get to the Upper Barrakka Gardens

Hello, how do you reach the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valetta? Can you drive there or is it a climb by foot and is it easy to find?

You do not need a car (although you could drive and park reasonably nearby if you wanted and you could find a space).

It's not much of a climb, imo. But, of course, it all depends from where you are starting.

Put 'upper barakka gardens valleta' into google and click on the googlemap link. You will get a streetmap showing you exactly where they are.

If you go to Valletta by bus just walk into Valletta the ruins of the opera house are on your right hand side at the back of the ruins over the road is Upper Barrakka gardens. If you drive there is a car park outside of Valletta only a short walk across the bus depot. Oh and it is level with this part of Valletta if you go down to the waterfront it is a steep climb back up.
