Forum Question Posted By: Replies:
Verona Is there a bus route map of Verona?
Posted: Wed April 22, 2009 01:30 AM UTC
I'm looking at the bus timetable at http://www.apt.vr.it/orari/index_orari.html
but have difficulty figuring out which route goes where. Is there a map showing the route somewhere?

We will be staying near the intersection of Via Eugenio Curiel and Via San Marco. Which buses go past this area and where are the stops? Which one to go to the arena? We are planning to go to the opera.

Thanks,
Raymond

I picked one up at the tourist info center when I was there. I work a lot with maps and this one was pretty much incomprehensible and the font was so small as to be practically unreadable. I wish you luck.

The problem is that you are looking at the website for the province of Verona, not the city of Verona. The province is typically the same name as the major city in the area, but includes suburbs and a lot of outlying areas.

http://www.atv.verona.it/flex/cm/pages/ServeBLOB.php/L/IT/IDPagina/244
has a list of the urban lines for the city of Verona, but only in Italian. If you click on "mappa linee feriali (326.39 KB)", you'll get a map of the bus lines on weekdays and Saturdays. If you click on "mappa linee serali e festive (279.05 KB)", you'll get the map on Sundays and holidays.

Clicking on " ORARIO INVERNALE" will give you each line by number, with a list of stops...I'd have to go look to see what runs by your location, or maybe Francesco (effeti) will join us (he lives in Verona)...

Thank you very much for pointing out I'm mixing up the Verona province with the Verona city. It makes sense now.

The web page you gave is very useful.

I think route 13 goes by the place we'll be staying.

Grazie. :-)
