Should you not be addressing this question to the "mother nature" web site.

Or if the Mother Nature website is not operational you can always go to the website listed below which gives you a month by month temperature averages and other weather related history. Typically though the weather in Orlando in December around Christmas can vary from between the 50's, 60's or 70's.

Hi there! Orlando is blessed with wonderful weather in December! We've been there December and the temp is about 70 degree (ranging 55 to 75)...it is a sub-tropic climate zone. It's like spring during their "Winter" --- I don't think you can even call it a winter! You will have wonderful climate (from the weeather prophet, "jumpingnorman", hehehe) -- have fun!

The weather here is very unpredictable - overall it's definitely better to visit in December than in July.

If you're thinking of going to see the Mouse - think again. The parks are obnoxiously full that time of year, to the extent sometimes you spend close to two hours trying to get in the parking lot only to be turned away. Now, January 1st, for some reason, is better for the Mouse.

Usually a light jacket will do for Xmas - but best bet is to keep checking weather reports up until the time you leave. Every year is different. One year ('89) we even saw a snow flake. Other times we go to the beach. Just keep your eye on the weather reports (weather.com). Not 100% accurate, but better than try to guess what it will be now.

Depending on where you are coming from -
Orlando temps are relatively warm, maybe start off with a light jacket in early a.m. by noon have shedded down to short sleeve shirt, shorts.
We ran our A/C more this winter than our heat.
Jan, Feb, early March is a good time to visit if going to Disney or any of theme parks. December is high volume because of schools being out for breaks plus winter travelers. Middle of March begins spring breaks, this year 2009 volume has been very high in March & April, closed entrance on several days due to at capacity. More locals visiting parks due to economy.

i agree with those that says weather is unpredictable, i lived for many years in central florida about 1H30 from Disney and Orlando, sometimes weather at night got down to 25F ,and then sometimes it was 90F,best is to come prepare

the wonderground weather site is a good average indication of weather use worldwide by travelers. Happy Xmas trip.

Due to extreme climatic changes the World is experiencing at the moment, trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local, on the day variations.
Most places now are seeing weather conditions well outside the norm.
The information below should be used as a guide only.

Here is the average weather for Orlando for this time of year.
Enjoy your holiday.

December.
High 73f / 23c
Low 50f / 10c
Rain 2.00in / 52.0mm
Rain days 7
Hours of sun 7
Daylight hours 10
UV level 4 = Moderate
Humidity = None

My family and I were in Orlando WDW area during the Christmas break and it was freezing cold. I heard a lot of times that it was the best time to go but it was not! Like other people, I would say it is not a sure bet and would recommend that you check with Mother Nature.

I am happy to say I am going back to Orlando WDW area again but this time, in July, 2009.

Coming to Disney World again when you live closest to the *best* Disney park?
I'd rather drive down to Santa Ana and go to Disneyland.

Take into account July will be excruciatingly hot and muggy - when we moved from LA to Florida the humidity got the best of us the first couple of years.

I agree, if not because we are taking a Bahamas cruise in July, I would rather drive to Anaheim and go to Disneyland. And yes, I have actually have been to Florida for business many times in the past - Tampa, St. Pete, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Miami, Key West, etc. in the summer months and it is very humid.
