I haven't been to Orlando but I read a couple of weeks ago that you can get a McDonalds Big Mac, fries and a coke for about $4.If you order a sandwich or something like a submarine they often come with fries and salad and are huge !

Hope you have a good holiday.

Do you mean prices in general or prices within the theme parks?

The question that Laura posed to you was do you want to know the prices of food outside the theme parks or inside the theme parks. You will pay quite a bit more for food inside then outside. I have found it best to bring snacks in packages that you can munch on during the day and then eat outside the theme parks before the open (breakfast) or after they close (dinner). Normally a burger, fries and drink in a park will probably run in the $10 range

Orlando, the tourist place.
I live in Orlando and am a native of Florida so,
food in Orlando - burger, fries, drink at a Wendy's, burgerking, mcdonald's
will cost you 4.50 to $5.00
Inside the park, the same food will be double the cost.
Drinks inside the park are expensive also, if it is summer months, it will be hot and you will definitely get thirsty. We also take a small over the shoulder
cooler or a back pack & take a few bottles of water along. You can also rent a
locker inside the theme parks. If you are on a tight budget, want to stay in park all day and into evening, can put things in locker.
The parks in the summer months are very busy and lines to rides will be long,
30 - 45 minutes at least on each ride.
Breakfast in restaurants such as Denny's is a good buy, many of the hotels have a buffet breakfast some are free w/ room some you have to pay for the breakfast.
Have a great time and plan to have patience, a hat, sun block for your time here in Orlando

The average price of a plain cheeseburger at one of the Disney counterservice places is about $7. A side of French fries is $2. Bottled water and soda are $2.50. Food is not cheap in disney for one travelling on a budget. How long will you be visiting the parks? Have you considered purchasing the Disney Dining plan?

Others are right, you will find cheaper food outside the parks although I've never found the food to be expensive inside either. I'm not sure where you are visiting from but in England parks like Alton Towers charge way more for food than Disney do. The last time I visited (last summer) an average lunch inside Disney was about 7-8 dollars. We always found that we could share things like drinks because they were huge!

I have to agree with the last post. I am from the UK. We found it cheap to eat in the Disney parks particularly with the exchange rate working in our favour. We only spent half of the money that we took with us and also shared portions as the servings are bigger than we are used to in the uk. If you take a look at www.allears.net and go to dining, they have all of the menus from the theme parks and disney hotels so you can see what is on offer and the price that you will pay. Disney do inflate the prices at certain times of year. This affected us last year as we visited at Easter. I'm going again in three weeks time, cant wait....!!!
