Hello Connie!

I just spent a week in Malta in a very reasonably priced accommodation. It was in Paceville, next to St.Julian's (walking distance to e.g. Spinola Bay area). A few kms to Sliema (good & frequent & cheap bus connections).

Our hotel name was Hotel Burlington (Dragonara Road, St Julians). We paid only 95 eur for one whole week for that double room (apartment)! It had a separate bedroom with two separate beds, two narrow balconies, a living room/kitchenette and a bathroom. The kitchenette containe all basic dishes, a cooker, tea maker, running drinkable water (cold & hot). Also a/c + heating.

Just note that the furniture is a bit worn out; wooden round table & chairs, it is not luxury, nor hotel level. No hotel servides (apartement accommodation). But there are cafés and restaurants around the corner. The apartment is spacious; we enjoyed our stay there in own peace.

Evenings the area is full of young people & loud music (main streets), but they can be easily avoided if not interested. We too ate in the more peaceful side streets (local restaurants) or in St Julian's or by bus to Sliema.

Please check also booking.com web pages - I found this hotel from there, as well as the majority of my choices in other countries too. Always can be trusted and no payment beforehand needed. You'll immediately see the availability, discounts, and get an instant confirmation, too.

Hope this was of any help - I wish you a pleasant trip! Greetings from Finland,
Merja
