How can I get from Carcassonne to Barcelona.
train is a bit too expensive...is there a bus.
I dont mind doing a stop in Girona or some other place close to spain.
I am a female, travelling alone, so somewhere safe.

when in the area I take my car, the train part is tricky as it changes at the border,and the bus is long if any. you can look for train here

There is a low-cost bus company called FROGBUS operating between Perpignan and Barcelona, so if you can take the train from Carcassonne to Perpignan the bus will take you to Barcelona.
