Punta Cana RENTAL CAR AGENCIES IN OR NEAR AIRPORT

I will be coming down for 2 weeks in October and wanted to get a car rental. What agencies are available at the airport? Also, how is the driving in the area? I've driven many times on St. Thomas USVI (on the right side) so how does this compare with DR. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, the major agencies are located at Punta Cana. Let me confirm for you.

Allright, these companies aren't at Punta Cana airport, but in the town of Punta Cana according to Lonely Planet:

Avis: Plaza Caney, Carretera Arena Gorda. 809-688-1354.
Europcar: near Plaza Punta Cana, Bávaro. 809-686-2861.
Alamo: Carretera Bávaro km 5. 809-466-1083.

Sorry I can't give you a first hand's account of that, or how the driving here is like USVI or not, all I know is that people drive like crazy here (I don't drive).

Streets are bad, with big wholes, cars and motorbikes drive like crazy.
be carful and dont drive at night.
You wont see the wholes at night.
