How long will you be in WA and where are you staying the rest of the time? If you're in Perth, I wouldn't go to the bother of moving. Fremantle is only 30 minutes by train from Perth city centre, and the Swan Valley is 45 minutes in the other direction

We will be in WA for 7 nights. Will stay 3 nights in Perth city.
Since we will rent car for 4 days, thus would like to stay outside Perth city.

You won't need acar in the centre of Perth or Fremnatle, will just cost extra for parking.
As well as the Swan valley, you could go south to Mandurah, only an hour's drive

If you want to get out of the city for a few days, head south to Mandurah as Purpleshade says - spend a few hours there (fish and chips for lunch at Cicerellos on the boardwalk - or better still a feast of fresh local crabs), and then continue south to Bunbury for the night - visit the Dolphin Centre and have dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants - Vat 2 is our favourite. From Bunbury you could head inland through lovely farming and orchard country to Bridgetown and into the big forest country around Manjimup or continue south to Yallingup and Margaret River for spectacular coastline and wineries. Make it a loop and see it all - your four days will be well filled.

Being a north of Perth girl, my suggestion is to go north to Yanchep National Park and stay there for the night. There's plenty of accommodation choices like staying in the hotel or a cabin - http://www.dec.wa.gov.au/park-finder/property/national-parks/yanchep-national-park.html
http://www.yanchepinn.com.au/index.html
Yanchep has nice bush walks, heaps of kangaroos & koalas, bbq facilities, boating on the lake, crystal caves, Aboriginal show and a coffee shop with fantastic home made pumpkin soup & the Inn for fine dining.
Then from there I would head up north and stay at the Caravan Park at Guilderton on the Moore River - http://www.guildertoncaravanpark.com.au/
Guilderton has an awesome beach, boating up the Moore River, big sand dunes for playing on and bbq facilities.
Then I'd go north to see the Pinnacles which is an amazing sight to see! We havn't stayed overnight up there but I'm sure you can get nice accommodation at Cervantes close by. - http://www.thepinnacles.com.au/
You can easily drive back to Perth from the Pinnacles in one day - about 4 hours.
Cheers, Ann :o)

Nah go south!!!!
We have the much renowned dolphin centre, wineries and beaches. Plus wildlife on the way.
OH don't forget gnomesville!!!
Its easy to do bunbury, busselton, margaret river, manjimup and back to perth in four days and see so much. Sorry anne our sights over do your wildlife flowers haha. You should come down south again.
Luv H

Hmm rocks and wildflowers...... nothing like dolphins, caves, beaches and wineries. Just teasing ann here" times have changed and the southwest is the biggest change of all. I detest the swan valley, i can't see what interests people? maybe some vt's will alter my thoughts.

You can take the train to Mandurah for a day trip, only 50 minutes, approx 80km south of Perth. Check out VT what is available in Mandurah
