Hi everyone...can someone tell me what is the best way for me to get to the Opteni Airport from the main train station? I'm planning on taking an overnight train from Iasi that will arrive at 6:30am, and my flight leaves at 9:00am...I think this is cutting it a bit close. Is this enough time? How long will it take to get there?

So, can I take public transportation that early in the AM, or should I take a taxi (and how much would a taxi cost, do you think?)??

If the train doesn't have any delays, you should be able to get to the airport around 8AM.

There is some public transportation to the airport, even at that early hour:
- the new train&bus link to the airport (a train from Bucuresti Nord to a train station very near the airport and then transfer by bus to the airport entrance; the first train after your arrival leaves at 7.15AM and will get you to the airport at about 8.15AM);
- the 780 bus, it goes directly from Bucuresti Nord to the airport; the first one after your arrive starts at about 7AM and should get to Otopeni in less than one hour, but if traffic is busy it can take longer;

By taxi, the ride to Otopeni should cost under 35 lei (€9) - but be very careful to avoid the numerous rip off taxis: don't take any of the cabs waiting in front of the station's main exit, check to see if they have the prices written on the doors (price per km should be under 2 lei), see if they have a taximeter, radio etc.
