Hi, I am going to Benidorm on the 26th of this month and wondered if anyone can tell me how to get from alicante airport to Hotel Presidente as cheaply as possible - please?? I am travelling with my elderly mother and wondered if there was a convenient way of getting from airport to hotel without costing over a 100 pounds (as quoted by private taxi)!! Thanks.

There is a public service tram that runs from the center of the city ( estación mercado ) till Benidorm and will be very much cheaper than the amount mentioned by you. I had the chance to see the tram yesterday and it is very modern and comfortable and offers great views along the coast, so well worth a ride. You can check their route at the following link

I have not mentioned the rate as it will be cheap. From the airport of Alicante you should have a lot of options by public transport or even taking a taxi till the mercado station in Alicante.

you could try resorthoppa
pick up and drop off as near to hotel as possible
cheaper than the taxi

try travel republic, they are really cheap, look them up on their website

if yo ubook through travelrepublic - you end up with resorthoppa anyway

we did a whole package last year with travelrepublic - hotel, flight and tranfers and it was resorthoppa so its cutting the midle man out going direct- and may save a few quid
