hi, need advise about which hotel to book in Livingstone. A Mid range one and from which one is able to see the falls. I have browsed several sightsa and they all seem to have different rates. Pl advise on a good agent.

The Zambisie Sun (ww.suninternational.co.za) is right at the falls, and you can walk within the gardens to the Livingston hotel, which is a 5 star hotel.
With both these you have free access to the falls.

Those hotels - highly recommended - are luxury/very expensive. Definately worth a wonder through. All the mid-priced hotels in Livingston are 11 kms away - in Livingston. At that price range and location you would also want to consider the Victoira Falls Hotel on Zimbabwe side and the Zambezi Waterfront:

Then you get into the hostel/cheap cheap hotel range.

Unfortunately the area does not have a lot in the $60-80 dollar range. Also watch out for pricing. Some are PPS - per person sharing.

Different sites will give you different rates on the same hotel. Its worth looking around the net.

Thanks. I have decided on Zim side after all the tips. Is there much difference in rates for activites if one books them locally? And can someone give a couple of names and addresses for these. Any online ones that are less expensive?

The website link is for an outdoor adventure company that is owned by the same family as Victoria Falls Backpackers. I found their prices reasonable.
