Hello,

I was wondering if booking airline tickets on Egyptair would be cheaper doing it online using Expedia or Orbitz or using a local agent in Egypt. I wasn't able to check it using Egyptair website.

I need airfare from Cairo/Amman/Aswan/Cairo/Barcelona.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I have not done this for many years now but what I know is that it is best to use local travel agents in Egypt itself. Be prepared to haggle and visit more than one agent & pay them against each other. In the past, I was able to get up to 20% off Egypt air advertised price. Best of luck !

Hi You might try vayama.com for buying tickets. I use them to fly from Cairo/Aswan/Hurghada. I have found Egyptair's website is not always user friendly.

If you can get the Egyptair website to go all the way through on your operating system, your absolute best bet is to use that. Put Egypt as your home country to get the best rates. If your computer isn't compatible with the site, try someone else's. I very rarely have problems with the site but I know it can be wonky sometimes. If you buy your international flights through Egytpair, they will do internal flights half price so there's that. Failing all of those, try a local agent.

Expedia etc should be a last resort as you pay much higher rates.
