Hi, we're also looking to stay at a resort at one of Goa's beaches. From there, we will explore the rest of Goa, tourist attractions, etc.

I hear there are many popular beaches in Goa, but can anyone recommend the most scenic and picturesque beach to stay at?

If u want to stay in North Goa, Baga Beach is the best 1 with lot of water sports n activities. In south Goa, Polelam Beach is the quite beach. for moe info, give details.

Baga is crowded, but all the action happens around there in north goa.

At south goa...palolem is good, it has started turning to be like baga, you may want to stay at agonda...very quite and quite scenic(palolem is the best in terms of scenic)...its just 10km between palolem and agonda...nearby agonda you have cola beach...near palolem you have patnem....most of these are quite and unexplored.

If your looking at a quite beach in north goa, its got to be morjim/mandrem side

Tito's is a night club around baga....

At south goa(35km from agonda) is salcette district....try "martins corner" is at Betalbatim and "zeebop shack" is at Utorda beach

If your idea to come to Goa , is to relax as well as have a wonderful vacation. I would suggest you to try out the South of Goa. It has one of the best beaches and is very beautiful, laid back and not congested at all.
Im from Goa and of all the beaches, Benaulim beach is my favorite haunt. The beach has white sand, has its fair amount of tourists (not the hordes that would repel you) and lovely beach shacks where you would get quality food.
There are many resorts in that area. If your looking at luxury accomodation you could try out Taj Exotica ( was there for my honeymoon and had a wonderful time) If its bydget accomodation , try out http://www.goanleisure.110mb.com

There are 64 beaches in Goa.I have visited only a few famous beah such as Anjuna, Bagga,Calungut,Vegator,Colva etc.The most beautiful sea beach is Colva beach which near Madgaon Railway Station.(20 minutes drive by auto)though I like Vegator beach most at Chappora fort,very neat and clean, nice sun set view,less crowded. Yes all these beach has many resorts and hotels nearby.Best wishes.
