cheap hotel for the night Punta Cana

I will be visiting Punta Cana for one night only with a friend and wondered if there are any decent -non-inclusive hotels that can be recommended. I am looking to spend say40-50 for the night - no more- nothing spectacluar- but soemthing more Dominican and authentic than the usual European style of which they seem to have many. A nice hotel, beachwards, where Dominicans go.

Allright, this is what Lonely Planet has in the "non AI hotels in Punta Cana" department:

- La Posada de Piedra: 1-809-221-0754 (the website listed by LP doesn't work)

- Gran Caribe Residencial: www.grancaribe.it (the Italian site works, the others don't), the cheapest price per person seems to be 50US - 1-809-552-1039 and their contact form: http://www.grancaribe.it/contatti.asp

- El Cortecito Inn: 1-809-552-0639, cortecitoinn@codetel.net.do
