The NHS site

http://www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/destinations/africa/egypt.aspx

will tellyou everything you need to know about innoculations, health care, precautions etc for Egypt.

Basically, talk to your GP and check your 'normal' innoculations (diptheria etc) are up-to-date. You might need boosters. Your GP may also recommend Hep A.

You haven't completed any basic information which might tell us where you are from, but check with your General Practitioner for the latest travel advice.

Alternatively, in the UK, check with your Boots Pharmacist and ask for the latest travel health advice for travelling to Sharm El Sheikh.

As far as I know none. I usually try to keep up on an Influenza shot and a Tetanus Shot, other than that you should be good to go!

Hep A&B- are required if you have never been vaccinated for it.

Yellow Fever- is reccommended for Health Care workers in Sub-Saharan Africa only, at this time.

Typhoid- is needed if visiting smaller cities and towns, not tourist or resort areas.

Diptheria- is needed only if you are not up to date.

Meningitis- as of this date: 3/2009 is needed only if traveling to Saudi Arabia.

Malaria-is only needed for travel to El Faiyum, Egypt it is not needed for tourist and resort areas.

Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Hurghada, Ain Sokhna, and so on are considered resort areas. The above injections would be needed especially for health care workers visiting rural towns and cities. I know, I am a Health Care worker.

Enjoy your vacation.

yep, of course no need to take all of those if you just do one time in life trip, but the more you travel the better is to be protected for the most common threats, always better to have one then to be sorry later.
Not to forget in tourist and fun resorts the have the HIV vaccination ;-)
Enjoy your vaccinations :)))

From the language I suspect the OP is from the UK or Ireland and therefore suggest he/she takes note of the advice on the NHS site before consultiong his/her GP.

That does not mean that inoculations are not recommended.

It is your choice whether you have them or not, of course.
