Hi
Me and some friends are thinking of coming to buenos Aires in November but all the hotels on the travel websites seem to be quite expensive. In fact they seem more expensive then european hotels which comes as quite a supprise.
Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap hotels??
Cheers
Leighton

We stayed (twice) in a B&B - a little bit outside the centre - but very easy accessible by train or bus (and taxi of course). I think they charged 50 and/or 50 USD. Name of the B&B: Lo de Costa (www.lodecosta.com.ar)
happy travels to this wonderful country

Hello
I had been 3x in Buenos Aires, so thatīs is my selection:
1) Buenos Aires - HI Milhouse Hostel
Very well located ( in downtown), but you need to book in advanced. good breakfast.
website: http://www.hihostels.com/dba/hostels-Buenos-Aires---HI-Milhouse-Hostel-002017.en.htm
2)Che Largato
Little bit far from Downtown but fair.
website: http://www.chelagarto.com/
3) Tango
Far from Downtown. but close some clubs and pubs. breackfast isnt good.

Here are some recommendations, not sure what class you are looking for but the first has a very good location in the Recoleta, pretty basic but good service and clean, http://www.juncalpalacehotel.com.ar/index.htm
The next is in Palermo SoHo and again decent service, clean and a good value
http://www.hotelcostarica.com.ar/shop/index.asp
This one is a bit more standard but fun and is also in Palermo SoHo
http://www.chelulu.com/
This one ApartHotel is in a great location in the Recoleta, more expensive and the rooms can be in need of a freshening http://www.apartrecoleta.com.ar/
The Moreno Hotel is located in the center but has been offering some excellent rates for a hotel in this class. Much more expensive and much nicer than any of the ones above but thought I would add if for your consideration http://www.morenobuenosaires.com/hotel.asp
Hope this helps and suerte

Maybe instead going hotels you can search hostels or B&B that are also quite good... you know, like big houses! I was in Buenos Aires last November for five days and I stayed in a hostel located in San Telmo, that is also a good "town" of the city: there you can find lots of pubs and restaurant, salsa and tango places, shops, cinemas, theatres... about location it`s also very good cause you are near all the subways lines and is very easy to travel all around Buenos Aires. I`d been in the Art Hostel: nice and not expensive(www.artfactoryba.com.ar)... Hope this can help you, cheers!

Canaprit interesting you have only been a VT member for one day yet managed to make the same posting numerous times for the Art Hostel. You would not be working for them now would you?
suerte

Hey,
In Buenos aires, you have an alternative choice for your stay in this city.
It's the rent of a fully furnished apartment (or houses for many people) for a temporary stay.
It results cheaper than a hotel and you are more comfortable.
I found a very nice apartment through this friendly French agency: www.unlitabuenosaires.com
Buenos Aires is a good city to enjoy good moments with friends
Good luck for your research!

Hi Porteņo, I was out for job last month so Iīd never received your request about my job in the Art Hostel so I want you to know: I was in that hostel and I realy like it, so I think itīs high recomendabel... thatīs why I comment about it! Otherwise, if you think that because my posts, Iīve to think that youīre working for Che Lulu, Apart Recoleta and Hotel Costa Rica cause the same razon... donīt you think? Cheers!

No I don't, yours was just a rather common event on VT, someone creates a rather basic profile and immediately makes multiple posts recommending the same place.
