Hi,
I plan to spend 2 nights at Niagra Falls (1st week of April 2009) and I dont want to spend much on accomodation.

Please help me with following information:-

(1) Transport (Bus / Train) from Toronto Airport to Niagra Falls (name, location, ticket cost, etc)
(2) Under 50 $ (CAD) accomodation in Niagra Falls
(3) Lowest possible accomodation budget

Public transportation from Toronto Pearson International Airport, unfortunately, is not a great choice. From the airport, GO Transit (www.gotransit.com) offers bus service eastbound into north Toronto (@40 minutes). To get to downtown Toronto, travelers would have to get a connecting bus or subway. Total travel time to downtown Toronto from Toronto Pearson International Airport using public transit is about 1.5 to 2 hours. you will have to take another bus or train from toronto to niagara falls.

for a cheaper rental accommodation you will probably like to lodge in a nearby city like st. catherines or niagara on the lake. but then there will be another transportation problem for you to commute to niagara falls.

perhaps more experienced budget travellers in this region will be better able to advise you.

First, you are coming to Niagara Falls, not Niagra Falls.
There is no public transportation from the airport directly to Niagara Falls. You would have to take the Airport Shuttle bus($20) to downtown Toronto, and then take a train (Viarail $25)or bus (Greyhound or Coach Canada $28) to Niagara Falls. You can also take a private shuttle service (Niagara Airbus $68). Hotel prices in Niagara Falls are generally quite high and can reach hundreds of dollars per night at large hotels in the summer. There does, however, appear to be a few that have rates for this time of year in the $40-$60 range. The hotels.ca site lists some (http://tinyurl.com/dzaj6c). The one on this list that jumped out at me was the Imperial Hotel and Suites at $49, which is a fairly decent hotel very close to the Falls and attractions.
