Hi
I will be travelling down to Boston next week for 10 days. What are some of the stuff I can do there? I am looking for scenery, some shopping on classical music items, and other fun stuff!!
Thanks

Besides the advise from Boston VT sites I also have used the following website for things to do in Boston.

I've enjoyed going aboard the USS Constitution a restored ship from the 1700's. And don't forget to walk around the Harvard College area where you might be able to find some classical music items.

There is so much to do! Here are a few things to start with:
North End (little italy, great food, improv asylum)
Freedom Trail (a walk to take you to many of the major historic sights)
Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum/Museum of Fine Arts
Harvard Square in Cambridge
Theatre district to check out one of the many shows
New England Aquarium
Institute of Contemporary Art
Symphony Hall
Here is a good sight for currnt events happening: http://www.boston.com/ae/
Plus, I have some restaurant tips on my pages :) Have fun!

Also, that's a good tip from riorich55 about Harvard for classical music.

Thanks DonPaul!! Unfortunately it has been a few years since I've been to the Boston area, but I do love the North End and those great restaurants. Also the lobster is fantastic as well.
If you have a car while you are in the area we have enjoyed Cape Ann and Salem for visits.

There's another good idea...even if you don't have a car, you can take the commuter rail from North Station and get to Salem and Newburyport and Gloucester for day trips. All very cool towns!

Do you have a car? If so, you may want to drive up to NH or ME. Oh wait, you said you were driving down...so how about going to Newport, RI? Great scenery, good places to shop and eat.
In the Boston area, you can go to Walden Pond in Lexington.

Do a duck tour... pretty cheesy, but very informative. I have been using www.beantownbite.com lately for restaurant reviews. A lot of people miss out on the museums, which are very cool. Museum of contemporary art is free on thursdays and has cool exhibits.
