Going to uganda in june and touring around with a tour company. I was just wanting some upto date feedback on how risky travel was in this country? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks

They have a few crazies called the Lord's Resistance Army who have killed people in the more remote areas. More people won a million dollars on the lottery last year in my country. Its probably safer than your home country.

Have a great time.

All the best,

If you are with a tour company, they won´t take you to risky areas to start with. I was in Northern Uganda recently - the area where the civil war took place - and even there the situation was very quiet. There is still a problem with landmines up there, but not in the tourist spots. And the LRA rebels have moved to Congo almost 3 years ago and do no longer operate in Uganda

Probably the people driving wildly on the roads will be the biggest risk!
