Good hotel for kids? Posted: Thu March 26, 2009 03:23 AM UTC
Hi all,
We're hoping to get back to Samui at the end of the year with our 2 kids (toddler & 1yold), and are wondering if anyone has any suggestions of good places to stay in Chaweng. For a price range, we've previously have stayed at Baan Samui twice, but I think they're only good for 1 kid.
Cheers heaps
Pete

I hear that Centara Grand Samui has a playground and children activities program. You might want to try that. As for pricing, right now, most 5 star hotels have some promotion. But it will be hard to predict for year end.
Other places you might want to look at is Nora Beach Resort or Lawana Villa.

Cheers, but I can't really afford 5 star.
I should rephrase the question.
Is there anywhere affordable for a family holiday on Chaweng... eg. up to $200/night (seeing as the cost of 3 plane tix are going to kill us).

Chaba Cabana Beach Resort good hotel for your family and location was great, you are not in the middle of the action but only a short car ride away or if your feeling up to it you can walk along the beatiful beach and you are not to far from town.

Check out Seascape Resort it is an older style resort @ Chaweng,it has family rooms reasonably priced and right on the beach.Located at the southern end away from the nightclubs.

Looks good, Watchdog. A fair bit further south down Chaweng, but beggars can't be choosers, hey? At least I can afford this one.
Forwarded to the other half for scrutiny. Man, the comments (complaints) of some people on Sawadee.com are hilarious. But if some people have been back 5 times, it's gotta be okay.
Cheers again everyone, but keep the suggestions coming!

Try Malibu Beach Resort - they are quite good and reasonably priced as well.
