visiting Hawaii in August Posted: Wed March 25, 2009 02:04 AM UTC
Hi
I am planning to visit Hawaii in August. I plan to stay 1 week in Honululu and 1 week in Maui - are there a lot of tourist agencies that I can sign up for sight seeing? What are the things I should see in Honululu and Maui? Cheap flights from Honulu to Maui?? thank you.

Are there a lot of tourist agencies ? Yes.
What are the things I should see in Honululu and Maui? Polynesia center, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay Snorkeling in Honolulu. Haleakala National Park & Road to Hana in Maui.
Cheap flights from Honulu to Maui?? Book early on Hawaiian Airlines'web.

There are tons of booklets and advertizements for things to do at all the airports, hotels and shopping areas in Hawaii, and many, many agencies that would be thrilled to have your business. There are also several hundred tips on VT for Honolulu and Maui.
For flights, Hawaiian Air has several, but you should check with Orbitz.com or Travelocity for some other carriers. There are flights for about $100 last time I looked.

I'm visiting in May, so I can tell you what I plan on seeing and doing. The Maui visitor's bureau gives you links to most the tours and company's on the island: http://visitmaui.com/.
Haleakala National Park and Kipahula- for information http://www.nps.gov/hale/
Iao Valley State Park
The Road to Hana including Wai'anapana State Park and The Hana Lava Tube
Sky-Line Eco Adventures- zipline
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Ride
Hang Glide Maui-It's motorized
Maui Ocean Center
I can't tell you if I like the activities or not yet, but hopefully it gives you a few ideas on what you would like to do.
