I am planning on making my way to Holland in April either via France of England.
If I end up at Rotterdam airport, what would be the easiest way to go to Maassluis?
I know there is a bus from the airport to Schiedam, can I get a bus or a train at that station in Schiedam to Maassluis can I buy tickets at the station or on the bus ? Or am I better off taking the bus from Rotterdam airport to Rotterdam Central Train station and taking the train to Maassluis?

Take the bus (#33, the only one) to Rotterdam Central Station (every 10 minutes or so, travel time 20 mins) and then the train to Maassluis.

Indeed, by bus 33 and train.

In the bus you pay with a "Strippenkaart", or you buy a ticket at the driver (more expensive). See this site for an explanation of the system http://www.vbn-bv.nl/ovinfo/

Your bus trip will be 3 strippen, about 1.50 with a 15-stripcard...Train ticket is 3.60 euro fro a single trip.

The train ticket you can buy at the ticket machines at the station.
