hello,
i will be travelling colombo in june for 3-4 days for exam purpose. i want to know whether it is safe to travel to considering? since there is war going between goverment and local group?
do you recommend me to travel to colombo?
may i also know which place is mostly affected by war situation in srilanka? is it happening in colombo?

Hi

Actual offensive operation going on northern part of sri lanka which is long away from Colombo , no need to worry about security at Colombo it always best to avoid large gathering fro your further safety.

Hi,

Colombo is a safe place to visit. No need to worry since the war is happening in Northern part of the country. I would suggest you to avoid traveling to North and East of Sri Lanka.

I live in central Colombo city. You can come down for here and sit for your exam peacefully and travel back. Good Luck

Its absolutely safe travelling to Colombo, the war is way up north and confined to a very small area. You need to visit to realise what we say.
