Perth Swan Valley
Posted: Mon March 23, 2009 06:26 AM UTC
For our visit 15/4-22/4, we plan to make Swan Valley part of our itinerary. I would like to know what is the best way to visit SV. Via a tour (most offers 1/2 day) or to rent a car (would it be easy to get to?)

When in Swan Valley, what attractions i should not miss? I also have my 14mth old boy with me..

Hiya. I nice way to do it if you have a little one with you is with Captain Cook Cruises - www.captaincookcruises.com.au. The trip on the boat is very nice & relaxing, the commentary good and the staff very attentative. You can choose a half day or full day.

If you hire a car you will also need to hire a baby seat but you can also visit Whiteman Park & Caversham Wildlife Park at the same time which your little boy will love. Whiteman Park has bbq facilities and great areas for a picnic. ....or if you want to have a reasonable lunch in a nice area in the Swan Valley that is not too expensive, then my suggestion is Iron Bark Brewery.

There's plenty of buses that do the tour. So there's plenty of options.

Have fun :o)

A lot of people go to the Swan Valley to visit the wineries. good idea to go on a bus trip if you want to do wine tasting. Some trips will combine visits to other places of interest.
