are there any nice hotels in the French quarter where I can smoke in my room. I will have a roommate so I would like 2 beds and smoking. am having trouble finding rooms that indicate I can smoke.

That might be a tough one in the French Quarter. Many hotels there have balconies, so maybe you could ask if they allow smoking on the balcony...

I stayed at the Inn on Bourbon and was able to get a smoking room with a street side balcony! Check them out, nice place and in the middle of the action!!
