Kazakhstan Travel Forum

Hi,

I'm planning to travel for 5 weeks in the summer, 2 weeks in Russia and 3 weeks in Kazakhstan. However, I'm unsure of the best location to cross into Kazakhstan. Is it possible to enter Kazakhstan from Volograd by train, or bus? If so, how much does it roughly cost? Or is there a better location?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I am Manshuk (female). I am from Kazakhstan, Almaty. Soon I am going home from Malaysia to Kazakhstan in june. My advice to you, if Kz visit Almaty, you will not regret! Almaty is beautiful city, lots entertainments, natural relax, plaves, parks, etc.
I am not sure how to reach from Volograd.

Hey, nice to meet you. I found out that I can enter Kazakhstan via Chelyabinsk, and enter Northern Kazakhstan, so i'll be quite close to Astana.

Are there any budget airlines from Astana to Almaty? I've heard about Almaty and it looks like a really interesting place and maybe check out the mountains nearby. If your around maybe we could meet up for a coffee?
