Some time ago I wrote atip about the big park where the Museu Condes de Castro Guimaraes is located. I am not sure about the name of this park. Is this Parque Municipal da Gandarinha, or Parque Marechal Carmona?

hi We had 7 days in Cascais in Sept, 2008 and our accommodation was 200 metres from condes de Castro-Guimaraes a most beautiful palace built in 1892 and now a museum.

The park behind the museum is well worth visiting, Parque Municipal. You can easily walk there from the town, just continue past the Cidadela (fort).

Good luck,
Mike

is easy to "confuse" the parks
the museum is within what is called the Parque Marechal Carmona,
but the Gandarinha is just next to it

Thanks for the correction. I looked on my tourist map but could only see Parque Municipal printed. The park behind the museum is very good, it also has a mini zoo which we did not enter but saw some peacocks etc.
